🎮 How to Play
- Game Flow
- The game begins in Year 1, Spring.
- Each season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) cycles automatically every 2 minutes.
- With each new season, a random background image sets the mood.
- Approval Meter
- Your approval score starts at 0.
- It ranges from –100 (total revolt) to +100 (absolute loyalty).
- Approval is shown with emojis:
- 💀 = collapse
- 😡 / ☹️ = discontent
- 😐 = neutral
- 🙂 / 😃 = rising support
- 👑 = adored ruler
- Rounds & Events
- Every 60 seconds, a new round begins.
- You’ll see three cards, each representing an event (good, bad, or random).
- Hovering shows the event image; clicking a card chooses that event.
- If you don’t choose within 30 seconds, the game auto‑picks for you.
- Event Outcomes
- Each event changes your approval score (positive or negative).
- A short message appears under the HUD describing what happened.
- Example: “Festival Held (+27)” or “Taxes Raised (–8)”.
- Winning & Losing
- Reach +100 approval → 🎉 You Win! The people crown you in glory.
- Reach –100 approval → 💀 You Lose! The kingdom revolts and your reign ends.
- Random Fluctuations
- Approval can shift slightly on its own (–4 to +2) at random intervals.
- Even without choices, the kingdom’s mood is never stable.
📝 Quick Tips
- Balance your choices: Too many “rich‑favoring” events may anger peasants, while constant tax cuts may bankrupt your support among nobles.
- Watch the timer: If you hesitate, the auto‑pick may doom your reign.
- Plan for the long game: Seasons and years keep rolling—your legacy depends on consistency.
